AI success stories applied to manufacturing, IDEKO’s proposal for Meetech Spain

The research center participates this week in Meetech Spain, an event organized by FEDIT that brings together the main actors involved in applied research in Madrid

This afternoon, IDEKO’s researcher Ander Azkarate will explain in a talk some examples of industrial companies that have successfully applied artificial intelligence processes.

The IDEKO research centre, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), participates today, 18 May, and until tomorrow in Meetech Spain , organized by the Spanish Federation of Centres ( FEDIT ) , at the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding hotel in Madrid.

Considered one of the most important events of applied research, this event will become a networking space among state research institutions and other state economic agents who consider innovation as the main driving force for growth and development.  IDEKO, as a technological reference in the field of R&D for industrial processes, will have its own booth at the event during these two days. This showcase will serve the technology center to present to the public its capabilities and innovations in advanced manufacturing technologies.

Artificial intelligence, a key factor for companies

In addition to its exhibition space, IDEKO will have a prominent presence in the presentation cycle of the event. During these sessions, the latest trends and technological developments in the manufacturing industry will be available.

In particular, Ander Azkarate, head of national projects and programmes of the technology centre, will be offering this afternoon the talk “Artificial Intelligence Applied to Manufacturing from 19:30 in the Speaking Corner. In his intervention he will present different success stories of industrial companies that have applied artificial intelligence at all stages of development, from the predictive maintenance of machines to zero defects manufacturing, as a differential factor and with the aim of increasing their competitiveness.

According to Dr. Azkarate, “artificial intelligence is a key element when analysing critical components of machines, the machining tools and the whole machining process.”
