Last news about IDEKO.

From 8–12 June, IDEKO researchers took part in the 26th International Conference & Exhibition organised by Euspen, held in Kraków, Poland. The event is widely recognised as one of the leading international forums for the precision engineering community.
Participation in conferences such as ICE 2026 reflects IDEKO’s commitment to advancing technologies for high-precision manufacturing systems and processes, one of IDEKO’s key research areas. These events provide an excellent opportunity to share the latest scientific and technological developments while strengthening ties with the international community driving the future of precision engineering.
During the conference, Dr. Harkaitz Urreta, IDEKO’s Sales Director, presented the research work titled “Coupled Elasto-Hydraulic Model for Large Hydrostatic Rotary Tables”, which explores the behaviour of large hydrostatic rotary tables under real operating conditions.
The research combines structural and fluid dynamic modelling to analyse the influence of structural flexibility on this type of system. The results provide valuable insights into pressure distribution, system stiffness, lubrication performance and energy consumption, contributing to the development of more accurate, efficient and sustainable machine tools.
This year’s edition of ICE26 was also particularly significant for IDEKO. After more than 15 years of active involvement in the association, Harkaitz Urreta was appointed to the Euspen Council in March 2026.
Since attending his first Euspen conference in 2010, Harkaitz has played an active role within the organisation, contributing to numerous conferences, serving on the Scientific Committee since 2018 and chairing technical sessions focused on precision machines. His appointment to the governing body of the association recognises his long-standing contribution to the precision engineering community and further strengthens IDEKO’s presence in the main international forums for advanced manufacturing and precision engineering.
