The
grinding process is altered significantly depending on the dressing conditions.
Very important aspects of dressing are: the geometry of the dressing tool, the
depth of pass, the feed speed and the type of dressing tool. The dressing process
conditions the active surface of the grinding wheel, and this in turn the final
topography on the workpiece.
In the presented work, the production of a kinematic dressing model is
described that predicts the resulting topography of the wheel after the
dressing operation with rotary dressing machine.
