The Basque
Country will play an important role in the digitalisation of European industry
after eleven Basque Country entities start to work on what is the largest
European initiative launched on industry 4.0, in the Productive4.0 programme.
Productive4.0 tackles the technological approaches and concepts of Industry
4.0, such as IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things), CPS (Cyber Physical Systems)
an Automation, "areas that coincide fully with the open research lines of
the ICTs and
Automation" group of the technology centre.
A total of 109 entities from 19 countries will attempt to drive, through this
initiative, the digitalisation of European industry through the adoption of ICT
technologies and electronics, by addressing various industrial sectors with a
common digitalisation approach.
