IK4-IDEKO has committed
itself, in its strategic plan to 2020, to promote Industry 4.0, robotic
applications and precision engineering.
Industry 4.0, robotic applications and precision engineering will be central to
the IK4-IDEKO roadmap to 2020, as a specialisation strategy in the area of
Advanced Manufacturing and in line with the Basque Government's RIS3
strategy.
The new commitment shows that the Guipuzcoan technology centre is immersed in
numerous projects focused on sectors such as machine-tools, railway, aeronautics
and energy. Among the European manufacturing and maintenance initiatives on
which it is working at this time within the Horizon 2020 framework, that known
under the acronym COROMA stands out.
