Innovation in Remanufacturing & Circularity
Self-sufficiency and circularity have become key elements for a sustainable and prosperous European manufacturing industry, reinforcing the need for a shift towards sustainable and resilient industrial practices.
Remanufacturing plays a critical role in achieving circularity around industrial processes, and the CREDIT project addresses the challenges facing the widespread implementation of remanufacturing through an innovative human-centred approach.
The project aims to significantly improve circularity and recycling, leading to a more efficient, sustainable and socially responsible manufacturing industry.
CREDIT’s main objective is to enable the circular remanufacturing of components and products, thereby promoting sustainable manufacturing and reducing environmental impact. These objectives are fully aligned with the Made in Europe innovation agenda. The CREDIT project’s impact will contribute to a more sustainable, efficient and socially responsible manufacturing industry. To these ends, Use Cases have been designed in the following industries: White Goods, Automotive, Telecommunications, Aerospace and Machine Tool.
IDEKO will lead the machine tool demonstrator focusing on machine head monitoring and remanufacturing, enabling predictive and traceable maintenance and optimising remanufacturing processes of this complex and expensive equipment.
