Recently a mixed
isotropic-kinematic model was proposed that adequately reproduces the
transitory mechanical behaviour that appears when the deformation direction is
reversed. In this model, the isotropic hardening is controlled by an effective
deformation while the kinematic hardening evolves based on a phenomenological
expression that the Bauschinger effect takes into account. In this work, this
formula has been extended for a more general case in which several cyclic
deformation reversals are applied. In order to be able to validate the model, multipass
torsion tests were carried out at intermediate temperatures with cyclic
deformation reversals on a CMn steel. The fit between the predictions and the
experimental curves is excellent taking into consideration that it was not
necessary to add an additional parameter to the original formula.
