Intelligent ultrasonic inspection using robots
Assuring the quality of components is of great importance to most industrial sectors. Strict safety requirements are leading to increase demands for the inspection and maintenance. Nowadays, the most common UT inspection method is performed manually with conventional transducers. However, this inspection method has several disadvantages that promote the research of other systems. This study presents an intelligent UT inspection using robots. The inspection system has been configured to inspect and register the results automatically. Once the results are registered, several algorithms have been designed to optimize the inspection procedure and control the manufacture parameters for continuous learning.
