IDEKO closed 2019 with a positive balance, reaching a turnover of approximately 10 million euros with a portfolio of over 60 customer companies. The investment made in the facilities was a significant landmark this year, together with the completion of two European projects: COROMA and ZAero. In 2020, we aim to strengthen our position as a benchmark centre for advanced manufacturing technologies.
IDEKO, with two branches in
Elgoibar (Gipuzkoa), invested heavily in different laboratories and
state-of-the-art technology designed for the validation of solutions and
developments close to industry, in real manufacturing conditions, as well as
for the experimentation of research projects says the Managing Director, Nerea
Aranguren.
The research centre has just completed two major European projects called
Coroma and Zaero. The first one focused on the development of cognitively
improved robots for the execution of different machining processes on both
metal and composite parts. With Zaero, the research centre addressed the field
of defect-free manufacturing of composite parts in the aviation industry.
