The machine tool and manufacturing technology environment are constantly on the look out to give an adequate response to the needs and requirements of the markets and sectors in terms of productivity, reliability and precision for their high added-value products. Therefore, Ideko offers support both to machine manufacturers and users in technological development of machines and machine parts applying new technological solutions such as new machining processes, new materials, new tools, etc.. Machine Tool Sector
Ideko was set up in a machine tool environment, and most of its solutions, services and products, which almost cover the entire chain value of product development, can therefore be found in this sector.
Railway sector
The experience of IDEKO in the railway sector is concentrated on the maintenance of wheels of wheel tread: checking the wheel profile and its reconditioning is done on underfloor wheel-lathes and independent checking units.
Aeronautical sector
As far as the aeronautical sector is concerned, Ideko has worked on machining non-conventional materials, on the development of special checking systems and on fitting in-process high-speed measuring systems with interrupted signals, with control systems and on the development of customised control systems for special machining systems such as that of machining the rotor blade tips.
